Well then, I'm a little late reporting on my weekend but classes are getting hectic. We're in our 5th week already, which means we're halfway through. This weekend was relaxing though, and I've discovered more of Phildelphia than I thought there ever was.
So my boyfriend came to visit and he brought his credit card! Instead of staying on campus and playing Monopoly in my room, he decided to take me around Phildelphia, for his exploration and mine. On Friday we navigated Center City and South Street, and boy was there a lot to see. He took me to dinner at Applebees on 15th Street. There was a comedy show going on, which was actually pretty good. The comedian had fresh, new material (thank goodness!! You get tired of hearing the same things all the time). After that we went to a party at this club on South Street and the decor was amazing! The D.J. was a native New Yorker (yay New York...Go Giants!!!) so you know the music was banging.
Saturday he treated me and my friends to a ladies day out. We got pampered at the nail salon and went shopping. I found an entirely new shopping area in West Philadelphia where I brought a lot of cute stuff. I spent more money than I thought I would ever have. I mean, what woman doesn't love shopping?? After shopping, we came back to my dorm and ate Chinese and decided to catch a movie at The Bridge (a movie theater) on 40th and Walnut (you can actually walk there from campus). We saw "The Eye" which I thought was spectacular (and I must admit I did jump a couple of times). The plot was great, not like other horror movies that have no kind of storyline, this was like a horrific drama! I was wrapped up in the screen!!
So, my boyfriend left on Sunday and we enjoyed the best weekend we've had in a long time. When you come to Philadelphia, again I tell you, there's so much to do. Movies, shopping, pampering, and the greatest college ever. Does it get much better than that??
